Mojtaba is a second-year PhD student at Northeastern advised by Professor Koutsopoulos. His research focuses on developing a simulation model for rail system operations, sponsored by and partnered with the Chicago Transit Authority. Before joining Northeastern, he worked as a data scientist and data engineer in the financial industry for a couple of years, and prior to that earned his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a minor in Computer Science in 2018 from the Sharif University of Technology. In his free time, Mojtaba enjoys exploring new places around the city and traveling to different cities.
